Woman of the Year |
Claire Marie Knopf Lindstrand
Over the past few years Claire has been actively building a name for herself. She has been climbing the ranks at Green Diamond Resource Company while at the same time working to complete her Master’s Degree from Humboldt State University which was awarded to her this year. With her recent marriage to Forester Brian Lindstrand she took the leap and left her budding future in Humboldt County to start blossoming in Trinity County. She andher new husband have purchased their new home together in Weaverville, CA.
Claire has also been very active with Women in Timber. She agreed to serve as the Chapter Representative her first year on the board. Since then she has been an active member ofthe state board, most recently taking on the daunting Ways & Means Committee, documenting current inventory and working to increase the cash flow. She actively recruited new members from her friends and colleagues at work to the North Coast Chapter. Last
year in her capacity of Committee Chair for the chapter's Community Service project, she oversaw a drive to distribute pro-industry books into elementary classrooms across the county, even organizing natural resource professionals from the area to read them to the students!
Claire is a woman who puts all she has into everything she does and is always endeavoring to make things better for herself and those around her. She is a dear friend to have both personally and as a colleague. Those who have been a part of Claire’s life know that she deserves distinction for her hard work, seemingly endless energy, and her wonderful ability to change the dullest task into a fun time to be had by all. It is always a pleasure to workwith her in any capacity, she always gives 100% and is one you can always count on.
